NORTHBROOK, Ill. – October 9, 2006 – ForteCEO (ForteCEO), a leading provider of interim senior executives to meet the needs of small and family owned businesses, announced today that it has appointed David C. Marshall as president.

Mr. Marshall comes to ForteCEO from Fine Arts Engraving, a Merrill Communications company, where he also served as president. During his tenure with Fine Arts, Mr. Marshall played a critical role building its management team and integrating Fine Arts into the culture of Merrill, which acquired Fine Arts in early 2005. Previously, he also served as vice president, brand management services, for the same firm. He joined Merrill after assisting the family owners of Fine Arts, as a ForteCEO, sell the company to Merrill.

"Dave is a seasoned veteran with extensive experience in creating world-class customer-focused teams for both large and small companies in multiple industries,” said Mark Rittmanic, CEO and founder of ForteCEO. Prior to Fine Arts Engraving, Mr. Marshall spent eight years with Chiasso Inc. as president and CEO, equity partner, and a member of the board of directors. Chiasso is a leading national retailer of modern home accessories, where Mr. Marshall introduced a multi-channel strategy involving catalog, e-commerce and "bricks-and-mortar” facilities. In addition, he held senior positions with the Bigsby & Kruthers Companies for nearly ten years, including chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

He began his career at KPMG. Mr. Marshall holds a B.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Finance from Southern Illinois University, and is also a CPA. He currently resides with his family in Glencoe, Illinois.
