Northbrook, IL, February 2, 2009 – ForteONE, a leading senior-level consulting
firm serving the needs of middle-market companies, announced today that it has appointed
Scott Murray as managing director.
Mr. Murray comes to ForteONE from Madison Capital Partners, a highly successful
private equity firm based in Chicago, which he co-founded in 1994. During his tenure
with Madison Capital, the firm acquired 18 industrial manufacturing companies, primarily
in the capital goods and plastics industries and focused on underperforming and
undermanaged businesses. Value was created through operational improvements, not
financial engineering.
Previously, Mr. Murray was a co-founder and managing director at Pfingsten Partners,
a middle market private equity firm based in Deerfield, IL, where the focus was also on
building better businesses through operational improvements. His early career was spent at
Citicorp and Continental Bank.

Mr. Murray received his BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his MBA from the University
of Dayton
